Lesvos (Lesbos) is an island of contrasts from its enchanting shores, variety of landscapes and wealth of

Lesvos is the third largest island of Greece
(area of 1630 square km and a coastline of 370 km), it is
almost triangular in shape and is penetrated by two deep gulfs
each with a narrow mouth, both exiting the Aegean sea.
Mountains dominate the island, Olympus, near Agiassos, which
is a much smaller cousin of the home of the gods on the
mainland, and Lepetimnos in the north both rise to a height of
about 3,175 ft (968m).
The warm climate, the rich soil and the
plentiful waters have created the lush green Lesvos that the
visitor enjoys today. The island, is like no other, virtually
